The Wild Devils 2024 design features wildlife and plants belonging to the Devils River ecological community, starting from the bottom with aquatic species found in the Devils River (Texas hornshell mussel, Conchos pupfish) and moving clockwise to species inhabiting the riparian areas adjacent to the river (tropical parula, sycamore, monarch butterfly) before reaching those found in the scrub and desert habitats higher in elevation and/or further out from the river (black bear, Texas horned lizard, and ocotillo). All of these species frequent the Devils River Basin, connected by the life-giving waters of this pristine river as it winds its way south and feeds into Lake Amistad and the Rio Grande.
Proceeds from the sale of Wild Devils 2024 commemorative apparel contribute to the success of DRC's critical fundraising efforts through this event.
