UndocuBlack's work centers around the issues faced by the close to 600,000 Black undocumented people in this country that are African, Caribbean, and Black-Latinx and are constantly ignored, targeted, criminalized, and deported at disproportionate rates.
We do the work by...building power with -- and for -- our communities, through advocacy, policy-making, local organizing, and centering mental and physical health.
Amplifying Black stories to challenge racist and incorrect narratives around the Black immigrant experience. Fighting against harmful policies and demanding that ICE and the police are defunded.
We do the work by... using your funding responsibly.
some ways we?ve used your hard-earned money:
- Providing COVID-19 direct financial support to our formerly and currently undocumented members across the country. We?re doing what Congress won?t.
- DACA application support. We've supported undocumented Black youth in completing the complicated and expensive process of applying for protected status.
- Educating members and allies. We train leaders to expand our reach, host policy workshops, distribute educational materials, and teach advocacy to protect and give power back to our community.
- Supporting Liberian members in completing the process for LRIF green card applications.
Buy our shirt/sweatshirt if you believe in our message and want to support our work!
The UndocuBlack Network is a multi-generational Network of Black currently and formerly undocumented people organizing their own communities and building power.
