ABOUT MABE

The Multistate Association for Bilingual Education, Northeast (MABE) is a non-profit organization (501.c.3) of educators promoting multilingualism and multiculturalism as assets that provide advantages for all learners - especially Dual Language Bilingual Education, the only bilingual education program that research has proven is most effective for English learners. MABE?s mission is to identify, promote, and disseminate research-based programs, practices, and policies that advocate and support bilingual education for English Learners. To be successful in this work, we collaborate with Institutes of Higher Education, Community-Based Organizations, National/State Education Agencies, and Local Education Agencies. With over 550 members and over 4,000 contacts across the country, primarily in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, MABE is sought for advocacy work, personalized consulting services, and technical assistance. Our many professional learning opportunities include activities such as our annual conference, networks for specific professionals, and professional development institutes unique to our field.
