Recirculation is a project operated by Word Up Community Bookshop / Librer?a Comunitaria in Washington Heights NYC. It was founded when former longtime Word Up volunteer Tom Burgess passed away from COVID-19 in June 2020, and is rooted in his collection of books and records gathered over the years. Most used items are available for shoppers on a pay-what-you-can basis, and the space is often used for Word Up programming and other community events.
