Prior to 2023, no official day existed in the United States which recognized the racial, cultural, national origin, or geographic gaps in areas such as health, housing and home ownership, education, technology, social justice, green space, income and wealth, or opportunities. US National Close the Gap Day is a day for Americans to pause and recognize existing gaps, highlight work being done to close those gaps, and advocate for new moves of action to further close gaps.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to support program activities of Closing the Gap Year, a nonprofit organization working to close the gap in the rates and consequences of youth and young adult disconnection from work or school.
